All Internet Marketers have the same goal; they want to make money online. And all Internet Marketer have the same problem… Traffic. The holy word of Online Marketers, spoken even without a magic wand, it lets us listen up… Traffic, loads of it, we all want it, we all need it. Traffic is the butter for our bread. If we can’t get traffic to our sites we will not survive. We will be extinct like the dynos. Isn’t its good that i have an idea that can help us to avoid that last scenario, but let’s first have a closer look at the situation we are in.
If we all just could as we would like to… or if all those robots wouldn’t be so sophisticated or if the clock just went back to ’98 when things where easy… We have heard it all, haven’t we? Now it wasn’t that easy than either, even if some ‘old folks’ would like to make us believe so. I was there, seen it. 14’400 modem great. True, it was easier to send out mailings and everybody enjoyed getting an e-mail …”Hey! Check it out I got an E-Mail, Great” But honestly, an html newsletter to bulk lists? With the speed of an old donkey, it took ages. Still it was better than licking post stamps a couple of years earlier but that’s not the point.
It is as it is and we will have to live with the facts. Robots are getting better by the day and duplicated content can be recognized easily even when the text and titles are altered a bit. Copyright lawsuits are becoming a daily income for many lawyers and with the prognoses of an Internet advertising market of 80 billion US dollars by 2010; this is where the grass is greener than elsewhere. And who is kidding? Search engines still bring the most valuable traffic.
Why is it so hard to make money online?
Google, Yahoo, MSN and other Internet Giants, soon we will be able to count Microsoft in here, all these big companies are spending billions of Dollars on the development of a better Internet or Web 2 just to have some windy Internet Marketers exploiting their system. Exploiting it by automatically flooding the Internet with thousands of useless 1-2-3- page sales letter websites. Exploiting it by recruiting affiliates, for down lines, who will add more of those exact same pages on the Internet. This is the main reason why it has become much harder today to survive in online marketing. This and the sheer amount of young and all are pressing on the market to grab a piece of the cake. It reminds me of the gold rush or the Oklahoma land run. But there is a solution….
For one, we could make better blogs and websites. Yes, get rid of all the duplicated content, have 200’000 search results for a keyword instead of 210’000’000. Google is already going this way because they have the money to develop the algorithms. Check how many search results you get for “hotel software” on Google and how many on Yahoo or even Altavista. Don’t bother, it’s 10 times less. With less urls in the pot a real website or blog, with real information or opinions has the better chance to be found by a user. And I won’t even mention the speed of the Internet that would increase dramatically.
McHow2’s Solution of the Internet Marketing Crises!
I have a simple solution and it has to do with socializing. Once more social networks can lead to social marketing what eventually leads to the new car in front of the new house.
I herby invite all bloggers who run an Internet Marketing blog that is not only a three page sales letter but a real blog for a “blog review exchange” Reviews are much more powerful tools than simple link exchanges. Here are the advertising effect, the search engine effect and the traffic effect playing nicely together. Let’s build our very own little social network where we can control the quality of the content and all participating blogs will go up sky rocket like. We are going to steal the traffic back from the spammers.
