McHow2 - Internet Entrepreneur & Marketing Consultant

I’m seeing myself mainly as an Internet Entrepreneur & Marketing Consultant, because that is what i do most of the day. The rest of the day i like to fill in with SEO - Search Engine Optimization - and Website Design and Development.

Even though many of my clients haven’t even met me personally and we probably never will, they trust in what I’m doing for them and in what I’m telling them to do themselves, and they become successful in their business. Their websites raise up in the SERPs and their organic traffic from search engines multiplies in a short time. With the website traffic increasing, their conversions and sales also increase in just about the same percentage.

The Secret of Internet Presence

Times have changed lately, i don’t know if you all have realized it, I’m sure most of you did. Internet Marketing isn’t as easy anymore as it was in the ’90s. The times are over where you just had to setup a nice site, stuff your meta tags and description with keywords and be number 1 on the top search engines.

Google algorithms, bots and spiders searching the net for duplicated content, and i can tell you right now; they are good at it, and spam websites have put rocks in the easy way up. Nowadays webmasters can no longer just create appealing and creative websites and say there job is done! The first concern of a webmaster must still be what it always was, the success of the client! Even though this task has become considerably more difficult and it will be even more difficult in the future. Thousands of new websites with all imaginable topics are released every day, the competition grows by the minute. The sheer amount of competitive websites will cause everyone a lump in the throat if it doesn’t do that already.

But it’s not all that bad if you look at the whole picture. There are actually two ways to approach the problem, as always, there is a cheap one and one for Internet Entrepreneurs with a bigger budget. Let’s look at the latter one first:

Internet Presence and Customer Conversion has become more expensive. That will make either webmaster fees go up or create the need of additional Internet marketing staff. Many big companies overcome the problem by simply increasing their pay par click - PPC - advertising campaigns and spend literally thousands of dollars every month on Google AdWords. That is one way to do the job but to go that road you already need to have money to make money.

So let’s have a look at the options the inexpensive way of Internet Marketing leaves us, and therefor the main subject of this blog in general.

Don’t worry, if you don’t have the money to spend on AdWords campaigns, if you don’t have the money to employ new staff who will do the work for you, you still stand a good chance to succeed. The secret of successful Internet Marketing is not so difficult to understand and you won’t need a masters degree in any science to make it work for your business. You just need to understand how Internet marketing works today and apply what you learned to your own business.

The 10 Most Important Points in Internet Marketing

No matter what kind of Internet Entrepreneur you are; if you try to sell affiliate programs or if you have your own products to sell, what you need is a good converting Internet Presence. There is no single button magic that will help anyone to achieve this. Many little things have to be right; let’s make a list of the 10 most important ones

  2. Good Solid SEO in the Site and Meta Tags
  3. A Powerful Back Link Strategy
  4. Social Bookmarking of thr Content Pages
  5. A Widespread Internet Forum Presence
  6. An XML Sitemap Submitted to Google
  7. Trustful Statistics for the Entire Site
  8. Conversion and User Behavior Tracking

  10. More than One Single Website, Preferably on Different Web Hosts

It’s as easy as that and it won’t cost much money. It is though considerably more time consuming and not to be achieve by either the webmaster or the client if they don’t work together very closely. The webmaster - client relationship has become much more important to the whole business than it ever was. Think alone of social bookmarking sites like Digg, Delicious, Stumbleupon and others; if clients and webmasters and their employees start bookmarking articles and other content from a website, how much bigger can the Internet presence get alone through those links. Not to speak of the SERPs. Search engine rankings will improve within hours or days.

As you see it’s time for serious team work. There sure is a lot more to it, but i assume you got the basics by now.
