Entrecard – Good or Bad?
The answer to this question, widely depends on how you use it. Finally, after nearly a month of running Entrecard on my blog here for testing purposes, and to see how it develops over time I’m willing to share my thoughts on Entrecard. After a while of using the new toy, I found that there is a right way of using this system and there is a ‘very’ wrong way that can drive you straight into trouble. My conclusion about this new way of interacting and my 6 cent about Entrecard can be found in this article.
First to say; when i discovered Entrecard (I was referred by a good friend, who meanwhile has a crunch on Entrecard, i have to say…) I noticed that the complete system was built in WordPress. This just shows how far you can go with the best social networking CMS! I wasn’t sure if it was just another so called traffic driving sites that give you on one side some clicks and raises your bouncing rate to a nearby 100 %. As expected i did! One page visits, many of them, but nothing that would even count towards any search engine. No valuable exit clicks, nothing but a single credit on Entrecard! Bah, who needs that?
That said; why do I still have Entrecard on my blog? Because i found another way to bring Entrecard to a good use, that’s why! Instead of rushing through 300+ websites a day i limit my drops to 30-40 or even less. Therefor i don’t visit one single page but two or three and itry to read at least some of the articles and also comment some. I also use the message service to write to some very selected blog owners and ask them for permanent link exchange on the blogroll. There are many ways to create and build a cooperate Internet marketing strategy.
Conclusion:Enterecard is Different!
Entrecard is different from all the other click exchange engines because it motivates it’s users to interact on auch higher level. You can use it well as tool for Internet Marketing but with caution. Entercard now also selects it’s users! Just in case you didn’t notice, cheaply made blogs with none or little own content, no written articles and many affiliate links get suspended lately. (Sorry foe those who got sacked, but think about why that happened instead of being angry please) Entrecard had a rush on user signups right from the start. Now they need to protect their assets. If word gets around that Google considers Entrecard to create artificial traffic, the result will be fatal! Users could loose their credibility and their publisher account just by having Entrecard on their blog.
I’ll keep keep my eyes and ears open and, you informed, about any further development. Meanwhile, think about how YOU could bring Entrecard to good use, without exploiting the system, but using it wisely. I myself am open for any discussion and linkroll exchanges with blogs who offer good content to their users.
See you soon, don’t forget to digg, buzz or stumble before you go….
…and what’s keeping you from leaving a comment right now?
No-Follow is turned off – Commentluv is turned on…. doesn’t that turn YOU on? Go for it!

Very wise advice that I’ve followed myself on a lesser scale. No way, though that I could do 30-40/day. How much time do you allot to that? One advantage of Entrecard is that I find my way to thoughtful sites like yours. But there def are a lot of feeble sites out there. Real feeble.
